Studies show that early use of swinging motion in children helps develop the vestibular system which governs our balance, motor functions and spatial orientation. NiniPod’s parent-powered, natural rocking motion helps promote the early, healthy development of this critical sensory system.

The swinging/rocking motion is similar to that of a hammock, making the movement a lot more natural. The NiniPod also comes with a pull strap attached to the bottom of the Pod, allowing parents to rock their baby to sleep from the comfort of their bed or whilst they enjoy a brew sat on their sofa.
Just like many baby products, as long as the product is used responsibly the swinging feature is completely safe. Our Nini Swaddle, which comes as standard with every purchase of the NiniPod ensures baby will always be secured comfortably and safely within the Pod, allowing baby to drift off whilst being gently swung.
The NiniPod has been designed for extended use compared with other cribs, which usually last 5-6 months. For most babies, the NiniPod will last up to 9 months or up to a maximum weight of 12.5kg / 27.5lbs.
Our Nini Swaddle (used in the 0-6 month setting), which comes as standard with every purchase of the NiniPod ensures baby will always be secured comfortably and safely within the Pod. Although baby would be able to make the Pod rock and bounce slightly through their natural movement, they would not be able to roll and get stuck. There’s also the option for parents to lock off the swinging function completely, but still take advantage of the bouncing feature. When the NiniPod is in the 6-9 month setting, the swinging function should be locked off at all times.
We understand it’s an unfamiliar look, however, we’ve taken stringent measures to ensure the NiniPod is extremely safe.
We’ve developed it to adhere to British Standards EN-716:2017. One of the many tests is called ‘Snag Points’ whereby products are tested to realise if there are any parts of the cot accessible by the baby which could snag and cause harm. Once the cords/ropes are attached to the Pod they create a solid-like structure which means there is no place for any items baby will be wearing to snag.
The unique Nini Spacer Mattress has been designed to be used alone – do not use other crib sheets or mattress protectors with it. Our patent pending mattress allows baby to sleep directly on it – putting anything on top of the mattress will compromise its breathability. The top layer of the mattress can easily be zipped off and washed at 30°C; it’s also quick drying.
Yes, the NiniPod has 4 height settings. This can be used to adjust the overall height of the Pod, or either side can be adjusted independently to put the Pod on an incline.
Whilst it’s rare that babies don’t like to be swaddled (most find it to be comforting and reassuring) we understand that all babies are different! We’ve kept this in mind when designing our Nini Swaddle which allows baby to be swaddled in the traditional way with arms by their side, or if baby finds it more comfortable, they can also sleep with their arms out.
